Self PleasureWhile living nomadically in public land, I walk and cultivate attention to forms, materials and processes of a place and then cast my own body into the rock, the mud, the sediment along a shoreline in ephemeral ways—making molds from the negative and positive spaces of my own body. I use materials like ice, pine resin, charcoal, and sand to allow my body to hold and be held by the landscape and photograph the changing result. The moment of touch, material, body and light becomes caught/collapsed in the photographs.
